The seven-inning gem that Orioles starter Tyler Wells delivered Saturday would normally be the best start of a series. Not this weekend.Pittsburgh Pirates ace Mitch Keller one-upped Wells on Sunday, striking out 13 across seven dominant innings to hand the Orioles a 4-0 loss.Keller entered the game as one of the best starters in the National League, and he solidified his standing by shutting down an Orioles team that had won four straight games. The right-hander scattered four hits and didn’t walk a batter in front of a Mother’s Day crowd of 36,403.Only Anthony Santander and Austin Hays avoided striking out against Keller, and Gunnar Henderson, Ryan Mountcastle and Kyle Stowers struck out three times apiece off the Pittsburgh starter. Baltimore could only muster two runners in scoring position against Keller, who lowered his ERA to 2.38.Starting pitcher Kyle Gibson struggled but got through five innings while allowing seven hits, three walks and four runs. Launched in 2019, Quantum Motors has only sold 350 electric cars in Bolivia. But their founders recently received a boost from the German city of Bonn, which invested 50,000 euros to acquire six units in support of a local program that sends doctors to people’s homes. (AP Photo/Juan Karita)LA PAZ, Bolivia — On a recent, cold morning, Dr. Carlos Ortuño hopped into a tiny electric car to go check on a patient in the outskirts of Bolivia’s capital of La Paz, unsure if the vehicle would be able to handle the steep, winding streets of the high-altitude city.“I thought that because of the city’s topography it was going to struggle, but it’s a great climber,” said Ortuño about his experience driving a Quantum, the first EV to have ever been made in Bolivia. “The difference from a gasoline-powered vehicle is huge.”Ortuño’s home visit aboard a car the size of a golf car...Joey Gallo’s HR landed him in leadoff spot again, but not the Twins’ record book

Hitting leadoff seemed to agree with Joey Gallo on Saturday, so Rocco Badlelli penciled him atop the order for Sunday’s series finale against the Chicago Cubs at Target Field.“He was begging for it after the game yesterday,” Baldelli said.In his first career start batting leadoff, Gallo went 2 for 5 with a home run and four RBIs. That broke up a 3-for-32 skid over Gallo’s previous 12 games.“I think the initial shock of seeing his name there snapped him into a really good place,” Baldelli said.On Sunday against the Cubs, Gallo was 1 for 4 through with a two-run home run that gave the Twins an 8-0 lead in the third inning. He left the game with an apparent leg injury after grounding out to short to end the seventh inning.Gallo’s three-run home run off Cubs starter Hayden Wesneski in the third was celebrated for “breaking” StatCast because MLB’s stat-gathering system didn’t have an immediate read on it. With no official reading, social erupted into superlatives. But on Sunday, the homer...Low or no water pressure reported in Dogtown

As the Broncos’ personnel department put its finishing touches on an NFL draft strategy late last month, Jacques Patrick capped a strong XFL campaign April 22 with two touchdown runs against the DC Defenders.Fast forward to mid-May and Patrick found himself in Denver’s rookie minicamp along side 56 other players — mostly a combination of draft picks, college free agents and tryouts — trying to make a strong impression for coach Sean Payton and his staff.Patrick, quarterback Ben DiNucci and edge rusher Trent Harris all turned their XFL seasons into tryout invites from the Broncos and on Saturday spoke highly of what the league owned by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Dany Garcia.“It was cool, man. I’ve been telling guys about it here, it was a rebound opportunity, that’s really what it is,” Patrick told The Post. “I was just in there talking to someone in the steam room and I was just telling him, ‘Bro, I remember my first couple of years in the (NFL) playing and then getting cut...Rockies’ C.J. OAKLAND – A’s outfielder Seth Brown is returning to Oakland to be examined after he felt more discomfort in his bothersome oblique during his first game of a rehab assignment in Triple-A Las Vegas.Brown had to be removed from Saturday’s game after just two at-bats, as he was replaced by Tyler Soderstrom in the fourth inning of the Aviators’ home date with Albuquerque. Brown singled in his first at-bat as he started the game as the team’s designated hitter.A Grade 2 left oblique injury caused Brown to land on the injured list last month.A’s manager Mark Kotsay said Sunday that Brown was returning “to make sure that what he felt yesterday wasn’t anything more than maybe a stretch or if it’s more than that.”Brown, who led the A’s in home runs (25) and RBIs (73) last season, first landed on the IL on April 10. In eight games this season, Brown was 6-for-30 (.200) with two walks and one home run.Brent Rooker has become nearly an everyday player in Brown’s absence.
